New for 2022 the Abyss SW has been redesigned by the team at Shimano New Zealand to offer anglers a range of offshore jigging rods capable of taming even the largest fish encountered in the depths of the ocean. At the heart of the Abyss SW is a T45 blank. Built by rolling graphite tape at a linear 45-degree angle and reinforcing it with two sheets of graphite rolled at opposing angles, the blank of the Abyss SW achieves a significant reduction in weight while maintaining incredible hoop strength and sensitivity. All four jigging models feature revised actions that are more comfortable on the angler, allowing the effectively manipulate a jig while retaining the lifting power required for heavy drag settings. To compliment this the Abyss SW jigging rods utilise only the best components. Quality Fuji SiC guides have been used throughout the range to ensure optimal line management. While custom full-length EVA grips and Fuji reel seats provide exceptional comfort and reliability.
